Because pouring out requires being filled to overflowing.

…Becoming a mom of three beautiful girls from foster care all at once taught me this very quickly. I often needed time away from the demands of home and writing and all the things, and thankfully my husband was so very understanding. He has blessed me time and time again over the past ten years with what I call Mommy Nights Away.

And now? I want to bless others in return.

My sweet friends have a beautiful barn condo on their 60-acre property just down the road from us. For years, they’ve wanted to use it for ministry—so one day I said, “What if we turn it into a beautiful retreat for women who need a little getaway?”

They gave me the green light, and we’ve been able to bless the community ever since.

There is still so much we would love to do with the place, but for now, it is a cute little haven for people who need to take a breath and be at peace for a couple days. To retreat from the demands of life and be filled up again.
